I loaded up 3 BnM PRO 100's. Great reels. One thing though and I don't know if it's the reels or the line. The reels say they accept 150 yards of 6 lb test line and the following is how it went.

I loaded up 87 yards (150 cranks of the reel) of the Power Pro and the reel is over full. It's pictured in the upper right, you can see for yourself.

I loaded up 87 yards of the FINS on the next reel, and although it's a little less filled, I feel it's a little over full too but may be acceptable.

Then I loaded up the 14 lb test Fireline and could only put on 72 yards before it was way full. It's the white line in the pic.

The Powerpro says it's 4 lb test mono equivalent, the FINS says it's 6 lb equivalent mono, and the Fireline says it's 6lb equivalent mono.

So there you go. Kinda interesting.

Also, I feel the Power Pro is the most limp of the three, and the Fireline is the stiffest (almost feels waxy).

Field test coming soon. Well, maybe in a couple days, we'll see.

I can say from experience that if you don't watch yourself the overfill on the reels will cause a headache. I always leave a bit of a lip of the spool showing to contain the braid from working it's way off. Maybe you'll do better seeing as you're trolling. Looking forward to the results.

fire line crystal for me. fish some really hairy brush piles in really cold weather in the fall and use quality hooks. with the fire line u can straighten out the hook and then bend it back with some needle nose and keep on fishing. also keep an extra spool with some mono on it for spring time fishing.

Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly, but I was kinda trying to get close to that 100 yard mark. After all, the spool said it would take 150 yards of 6 lb test line. So only getting 87 on it and it being that full was kinda disappointing. I actually counted out 100 yards via a yardstick as in the pic below, and figured I'd get it all on. So when I had to stop at 87, I thought I'd do 87 for each brand, but then 87 of the Fireline would not fit.

Yes, I coulda paced off 100 yards out in the yard, but it's hot outside so I invented this thingy using a yardstick!

I like the power pro. Did you put mono backing?
