Thanks is for the help guys. Looks like Cabelas has changed to a 3rd party source recently with their cheaper waders. Tons of bad reviews , everyone wants them to go back to Cabelas branded product.

Anymore suggestions guys? Was hoping to find a durable pair around 100.00 .

For the price range you are looking in, you will probably only find product that has been produced off shore. I checked the reviews on the Cabela's Breathables and the overwhelming majority (4 & 5 stars) were very positive. Of the 294 reviews submitted only 26 people gave them 3 stars or less.

I had a pair of Frog Toggs as you described for saltwatter fishing. Lasted about 30 or 40 days of use before leaking. OK but spend a little more and you will get a better wader. However breathable is the only way to go unless you want a sauna weight loss programs. Also breathable are 100 times more comfortable then others when walking. I work as a fishing guide and have some kind of boot on about 200 days a year. I use Lacross trapper hip boots a good bit also. Very durable and easy to put on and off. In warm weather you can fold them down 1/2 way when walking out of the water. I get about 3 years of use out of them unless I wear the bottoms out first. I will never own another pair of neoprens!

Where are you seeing Cabelas breathable booted waders in this price range ? When I go to their website , they are branded Herz or Hodgman. Reviews are bad.

I have a pair of Frogg Toggs, breathable variety.....when it gets that cold I stop wading the river, just not worth it. I dont remember the specific ones, the waders were just a bit over $100 and the rubber sole boots were another $70 or so. Theyre going on their second year now with no problems.

If you're not a fat boy like me Cabelas are great.

Had a pair last 2 years and that is long for me as I am rough on waders.

I bought a set of Caddis this year and the entire butt ripped out on the 1st hunt

I have a pair of frogg toggs breathable waders I use for duck hunting, they get worn quite a bit and our over 3 years old with no problems, I would not be afraid to purchase another pair. I usually wear waders out in 2 years or less, these have lasted longer than any waders I have ever had. hope that helps

I have a very nice pair of neoprene boot foot waders I got at Academy Sports for only $25.00. I picked them up during the late summer off-season and they had been marked down considerably. If you have an A.S. near you, keep a watch out for the sales.

I worked in the flyfishing industry for sales a few years ago. All breathable waders had a seam problem. Did not mater what brand the seams leaked in a short time. Problem was the chemical makeup of the glue had to be changed and thus the problem. Most wader companys took a big hit on returns and so on. That problem seems to be fixed so perhaps some reports are based on there waders leaking and in reality all of them had problems. Not saying you can not get a very good pair of wader for $100.00 but if they are out there I want to know about them myself. I work as a fishing guide and also trap. No one size fits all so to speak. If you are tough on waders and want them to last look at lacross boots in the trapping catalogs. ( F and T ) is one. If you want quality breathable waders spend more up front and get a guarantee and they should last twice as long.
