I remodeled the bathroom and the kitchen. New cabinets (I made them), new ceramic tile flooring and shower (I installed), paint, and bought new appliances for the kitchen. I even made her a make-up cabinet in the bathroom. Bench and all so she can work her magic. Complete renovations. I could get whatever I wanted.

We do the same thing for vacations. We go on a vacation as a couple, then we each have our vacation time. She goes to Chicago for a 4 day weekend with my sister-in-law. I go camping- Crappie.com spring/fall camp, fishing tournament camps, and Canada this year.

What did I buy? I bought Slab's old boat. I needed a project, finished most of the home remodeling. I ended up with the boat I wanted, for about 1/4 the price of new. Since I got the new boat, she wants to go fishing with me all the time. Well, as long as the weather is nice. Not too hot, not too cold, not raining, not too windy, just right. I've been on the water 4 out of the last 6 weekends, she hasn't been out yet.

It's simple, what will she get out of the deal.

I guess I am blessed, my girl fishes with me when she can, she sees my struggle with the current boat, and has encouraged me to get another boat. I made a deal with her that I would pay off a motorcycle I own, then look for a boat, I have found the one I want, still paying on bike, she said the other day just go ahead and get my boat, we will make it work somehow. I want to badly but have it figured out that I can have the bike paid off in 7 months, so I guess I will be buying when the deals are good.
