Sounds like a great trip, and if the crappie grow as quickly as the bass it should be a lot of fun. Take some pics, please!
Leaveing for our first trip to lake fork on Wednesday any tips that might help us out on some slabs would be appreciated Thanks

look under 154 bridge is a good place to start. The back of gull island is another good place. Little Caney an Big Caney both great areas also. I found fish in front of the pump station by the dam that was holding fish 12'.
good luck and enjoy
you very welcome I have spent many days fishing that lake. Love it now that I know it. Now that it has more water in it. there are several new locations for the crappie to get into. If you get a chance go around Whiteoak and Berch. it is by the 515 bridge area. it has great shallow bedding area, hard bottom that will hold fish in the shallows
Ok thanks again all the info makes the trip that much better when you have an idea of where to start
We were catching good males in a couple of feet of water in the coon tail moss. CAT is holding a crappie fest tournament on April 2 open to all fishermen. Sign up is at the Minnow Bucket. Fifty dollar entry fee. Can go to CAT website for all info.
