anyone make thier own hair jigs?

Welcome to the site. Check out the section they listed above. I have been thinking about trying as well so have been poking around in there. There are several great articles for beginners that I got a lot of info from. I picked up some powder paint this week for step one. Painting my jig heads then on to tying. Good luck. You can also google custom or hand tied jigs on the internet and look around at all the styles and colors for ideas as well.

There is a thread in the jig tying forum that is simply call "Jig Pictures". You wouldn't believe how many pictures there are. They have given me some ideas that have worked really well.

That looks like a nice tie that you made. As a general rule, most people tie the jig so the lighter color is on the bottom and the darker color is on the top.
