Dan, I only know that if God brings you to it, then God will bring you through it. We started out the year full of promises and full of new resolutions. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future. One thing that every human being needs to beware of is that real trouble, trials and tribulation will come one day. Our question this morning is “Can God trust you with trouble?” Life is designed to test our faith in God. We have a tendency to question that faith in God when we face frustration and failure. You can have faith and still have trials and tribulation in your life. Jesus will be with you in the valley. He is the Lily of the valley and the Bright and Morning star.
Can you hold on to your faith and trust God until loneliness, disappointment, disparity, and illness end? Can you hold on to your faith and trust God until bad turns to good? Can you hold on to your faith and trust God until wrong turns to right? Can you hold on to your faith and trust God until weakness in your body turns to strength to endure? Can you hold on to your faith and trust God until your change comes? Psalms 30:5 “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” What should we do when trouble comes? Realize when trouble comes that God is a Refuge for His people. Know that God is Resident among His people. Believe that God will equip you to cope with the trouble. If God brings you to it then God will bring you through it. Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Psalms 46:1 “ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” A mighty fortress is our God. He is a stronghold and a tower in your life that will never fail. Jesus Christ is the One who opens His arms to you and says, "Come to Me with all your burdens, roll them upon Me, give Me the problem, and I promise to be what you need."
