If your a tall guy 15in. pedestal will work. If your under 6ft. I would go with the 13in. Dont forget the seat base is another 3in. plus the seat. But if the 15 is too tall you can always shorten them, not hard to do.

What ever seats you buy, make sure they meet the intended requirements. IF these seats are to be used while under power (greater than 5 mph), then you need seats and seat bases rated for it.

    Thanks Hanr3.

I had to go to Gander Mtn. to get a gift for my son and while I was there I saw Wise extendable (14-17") pedestal bases so I bought a pair. I'm still waiting on ordering the seats till after Christmas.

I was hoping that screws were included in the bases, but they were not. I'm guessing the largest stainless screw that will fit in the drilled out base is the size I should go with. (?)

I believe the largest screw is a 14 or 16. I took the base to the hardware store and matched it up.
