    never managed to ketch me one of them . are they similar to a white bass aka sandbass we have down south ? big schools that are voracious and slam baits ?
    they look like em minus the stripes and I have read about them before as well ....interesting ......
    what about them trout yawl have up that way ,,,,,there is one in particular that interested me ...cant remember the name ?

    I think they are a lot like White Bass. Maine is all about Trout. Maybe that is why I have all these junk fish to myself.

    Great day, Bee. Always great pix. Fish chowder may be like clam chowder, except with fish. Down here we make fish courtboullion. Cajun pronounciation= coo bee yon. We use firm fish like redfish. And it is best to broil the fish and put them in the gravy last.

    Those are Silver Perch. And fish chowder is good regardless of where it is made.
