If the wind/ breeze isn't to bad I will use a bobber for a little extra lure action, but if it gets gusty I move to a protected cove. Some times fishing the wind line has been productive.

I tie on 2 jigs and keep on fishing. but I fish out of a fiberglass bass boat and I have a pretty strong trolling motor and 2 good batteries so I can hang a while. Usually I only have to go up to level 3 on the TM and keep my foot on the gas with a strong wind.

I do like to target areas where the wind is hitting the bank and cast to them. I've had to cast straight over the back of the boat before so I could keep the front of the boat pointed into the wind. I like the 2 jigs for this.

For trolling I'll tie it off and toss out my bucket sometimes. But I think I'm going to cut a chain and put it in there this year.

i spider rig a lot so i have to fish into the wind to control my boat, and the pro's say the the single most important thing to catching fish is boat control. Find the fish and stay on em'. If the wind is too high and is bouncing the boat i pull a chain and go with the wind it really settles the poles down in the waves and i can detect strikes better also add a little more weight to keep bait down. Good luck
