I push off the front of the boat using weights.
Work good, whether you have the rod off the front, side or out the back if it is weighed we consider that pushing!!

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
I just use a 3oz. egg sinker. Can get them off E Bay pretty cheap.

Can someone post a picture of your set ups

I don't have a pic but do have a diagram I posted earlier...
I don't know if it is how others run their set up but works for me
The rod holders literally do not go from one end of the boat to the other they take up about a six foot space in the middle of the boat
Thats a pullin set up - we use 18's out the front on 2 rods, 16's out front sides on 2
and 14's rest of the way. Have never used "balsa crants" mostly us 32nd & 48th oz
double jigs on #4 hooks. vary colors and styles - sliders-curley tails - mylar, all minnow tipped.
Orange - Yellow - Black - Blue heads, orange-red collars - variation style to rear.
Have gone with "planer boards" in past - but takes to much time and can create
a real "cluster muck if a Catfish or Gar hit ....
With the amount of stained water down here - ?
When pulling straight Cranks - cut number down to 6 and use a lipless crank,
if you slow up they sink, got to keep speed up with distancce being your depth
to be consistant -
I was looking for a picture of pushing cranks and the picture of the terminal rig crank bait and weights set ups

The black weight on right is the Scott v setup the one on the left is a 3 ounce egg sinker set up I made
So can u put weight on like 8# line and use 10# line as your main line is that the way most people use it or what
