    I've been accustomed to electric filet knives because I too could never find one to like. But I think I could like this one! Nice knife!

    Thanks for the kind comments all.

    Redge, if micarta is finished to a high level it can be slick. I only went to 220 grit to try to avoid that issue, this has been a good finish on a couple of hunting knives I made. On some of the wood handles I have done I have gone as high as 2000 grit with a wax finish. That would make for a slick finish. If I find that this one it too slick I can always drop back to 120.
