I recorded that show. When I sat down to watch it I was ready to see some slabs getting hammered...and then I saw a guy way up north fishing for smallmouth. I love smallmouth fishing...but it's not what I expected so I deleted it.

The same guy does 2 shows. Krappie Kings, and Extreme Angler. The later focuses on bass fishing. He has done the extreme angler show for a while. I would cut him some slack cause at least Karl thought enough about us crappie anglers to try and do a show for us. He is learning and yes the show could use some improvement but I bet he will listen to us and make the show better. I believe he is a member here.

As far as the mix up in the shows, I think all the Krappie Kings shows that were made last year for this years showing have run now. They are switching his shows now for the extreme angler show's run. It just has not caught up on the guide yet. I'm sure Karl has been busy as of late putting together next years shows. If you want to make suggestions and can find him here, now would be the time to tell him. It might be two years before you see the changes.CF

Saw the show for about 2 minutes and then deleted it. Not what I care to watch.

Just watched it myself. Not terrible but sounded like an infomercial for Hawk Lake and the lodge he stayed at.

Frankly the smallmouth I pull out of the river in the summer are bigger than what he was catching.

I am not a smallmouth bass fisherman either. I too deleted it and just watched some reruns of Al Linder and Wally Marshall Crappie fishing.

I think the TV listing was wrong. I record all the Krappie King shows, this one didn't have their intro. This guy Karl Kalonka, does bass shows too. I think the TV listing just mixed up one of his bass shows with a Krappie Kings show.

I wish they would give Wally Marshall a regular show.

Thanks for the tip. I had it taped and scanned the first 30 seconds before deleting it. I liked how he went to different locations and fished a few techniques with a few people. I didn't care for bass fishing. Could have dealt with big bluegill or shellcracker but not a bass.

Capps & Coleman could have made a show that would have topped them all. Ronnie Capps gave some good info. Steve doesn't say much but you can tell they were a team in the boat. Whoever told him to go head to head against a buddy in competition made a huge mistake. I appreciate him wanting to have his wife with him but I had rather have had Steve with him and them sharing how they located fish, different techniques etc.

They gave a lot of good info while still being good old country boys. Let them do it right and there's your #1 show by far. Bill Dance used to have a few good shows but haven't seen a good one by him in a long time. Don't even bother to watch his Saltwater fishing show, smelled desperate.

Karl has done a pretty good job exposing crappie fishing and tries pretty hard to hit all the lakes he's asked to fish at. He's been to Lake D'arbonne here in north Louisiana a few times. Not sure what the deal was with the bass fishing on Krappie Kings - Im sure it was a channel listing/TV error. Whats that other show Crappie Time? I have it set to record but its hardly ever on. The last one was Capps and Coleman on Grenada.

I think they confused his extreme angler show with his Krappie Kings show
