Here's a couple pics of the two. Top is a white and bottom is a black. See the bars on the white and just speckles on the black.
Is there any pictures of a Black Crappie compaired to a White Crappie?

Think of Stars & Stripes .... vertical stripes = White Crappie -- "stars" (black specks or blotches scattered over the whole body) = Black Crappie
But, a dorsal fin count + body coloration is a foolproof method of identification, since there is a possibility of hybridization in the wild.
