If I worried about fish smell on MY hands, I think i'd take up golf or some girly sport. But really, I use dawn dishwashing liquid to clean my board and knife blades and an antibacterial soap after on my hands.

Wow!!! I keep things simple...lol
Just use Blue Dawn dish soap and a tsp of table salt. Put the dish soap and salt in your hands and rub, you can use a small amount of water to help lather up the soap. Then rinse with warm water. Done!

The trick is cold water plus what ever cleaning agent you want to use. The cold water instantly closes skin pores and allows the fish slime and scent to be washed right off with soap. I personally use dish washing soap. If you use warm or hot water, opens the pores and smell like fish for a couple days. I like the smell though, reminds me of good times! Be sure to wipe as much slime off with a towel before washing and have even better results.
thanks gene!!!!!!!
Go and get you a bar of "Lava" soap. Been using it for years and works great.
I use nitrile gloves now, but I also have used COAST deodorant soap which works nicely
Y'all talk about fish smell like it's a bad thing!! Folks talk about it because they're jealous. They can't catch any fish so they whine about the smell of success. Wash your hands to keep them sanitary and never mind the naysayers. The fuzzy skin on the pad of your thumb is another benefit of the game. I get happy just remembering the fish I had to handle to get that.PSHAW!!!!

I agree with skeet. I've had fish smell on a lot of places over the years and never had a problem. the bigger issue is NOT having a fish smell anywhere, lmao
