I believe Bass Pro has the Lowrance Elite 5 hdi on sale for about 300. The card that comes with it makes it lock up though but it works fine without the card and works pretty good. That's what I have at the console of my boat.

I have a lowrance elite 3. I know they got to be around $200 now. Had mine for 4 years. It's does everything I need it to do.

Thanks for the replies. I’m definitely going to check out the helix. I’ve spent some time looking over all the “fish finders” but man there are so many models of each brand it’s a bit overwhelming to try and figure out if you’re getting your dollars worth, if it is just what you need, or if it’s more than you need.

Absolutely agree to check with Brian @ bbg. I bought my 1199, terrova and 3 bank charger from him and have nothing but good to say. Contact him for best pricing. I pm'ed him and he responded quite quickly.

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely check out the Helix. Trying to decide which “fishfinder” to buy can be a little overwhelming with all the different models ofall different brands.
