I got talked into buying some last year. I won't buy it again. I feel that the cons of the line outweigh the pros and their are others out there that can probably cast equally as far or pretty close without the complications that nano fil had for me. I had pretty much the same problems that everyone else already listed.

My experience is that it works very well with spin casters. As said above, the price will CATCH you by surprise if you aren't paying attention. With the sack full of money you have, it's money well spent.

I have been using nanofil for two years now and love it. Cast small jigs in clear water works great in 4 lb but you need to
back it up with another line . I get two fills of 75 yards each and at .004 dia takes up very little room on the spool. Must learn the knots and wet them. I also use a foot or two of fluorocarbon .

When I tie a palomar knot with I small eye I put the end through the eye a few inches the turn it and push the end back through that way you have your loop sticking out but don't have to put the loop though. Can you explain a San Diego jam knot?
    It is what it is!

Google up Knot Wars. That will give you most all the knot known. And they're animated.
