If you get on basspro's mailing list they will send you from time to time opportunities to get free shipping or reduced shipping. Just ordered a spool of 6 and 14 lb the other day along with some other goodies and the shipping was only $4.75. No tax and no driving.
You can get different size spools to fit your needs. Myself, I get the 2400 yd spool and keep it dry and cool in refrig out in garage. Basspro or Walmart's supply, I would think, would be somewhat fresher than other retailers.
The gold is definitely a winner for me...blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

I changed from Flour. back to Trilene 4# line this year. Still experimenting. Havent found the hi-vis. line anywhere around here without ordering it just to try so I wasnt going to buy that much and vouldnt come out having to pay shipping charges. Anyway, for nite fishing the regular line works OK. From the lights I can still see it.
