I would guess between 200 to 300 in a years time between all my fishing.

WOW, I need to step up my game! I probably only lost a dozen or so crappie jig heads all year, and probably at least as many 1/8 and 3/8 oz jig heads fishing the river for smallmouth. Not sure how many other lures I lost but more than a few. Of course I only got out a few dozen times fishing. Im sure you guys do that in a month or so.

Im hoping to lose a hundred or so this year , hopefully with at least as many crappie caught!

I fish often and pretty much have the areas I fish dialed in. I lose maybe 150 a year. That includes multiple size heads too. Plenty of days when I may lose only one so my total count may be a little high.

I say I lose one or two each outing and I get out at least once a week if I can...that makes around 100 for the year. Both hand tied and jig style.

10-20 a year I don't count the ones the fish keep. The walleye like to bite through my lite line after they get the heart going lol I don't lose that many Mainly because I'm a crank bait guy and I lose maybe 3-4 cranks a year I try to keep track this year plan on doing more single pole and spider rigging

I bought 500 1/16 lead jig heads last year. Got a hundred or so left. I fish a lot of structure and take a lot of kids out.

I tightline and cast for crappie year round. I fish a lot but lose very few jigs. Most of the jigs I lose are because I don't take time to retie after catching several. At the end of the day a lot of jigs get tossed because they get pretty beat up, hooks get dull and bent from being popped out with a pair of needle nosed pliers. Main reason jigs weren't lost is I use weedless Y guards on the jigs I cast and a plug knocker for tightlining. I bend the Y guard in the middle where it will lay flat just above the point of the hook.

You can make your own by running a swivel over your line and adding a 1 ounce or heavier sinker before clipping it shut. Take your slack out of your line before raising your rod and many times it will come off after the first thump. I make my own plug knockers and they probably work a little better than these but sinkers sliding down on the line with a swivel should save you a bunch.

I don't lose these but do give some to fishing buddies. Also run into some good people on the lake who aren't having any luck and give them a few jigs and crappie baits from time to time. Many of them hunt me down later wanting more. Almost all are very grateful.

A dozen or so , but the folks I take are not as fortunate and hardly do they return the ones they have on their pole . (my crappielogic )
