Michigan's angler and hunter harassment law is great. Conservation officers come running almost as fast as when they receive an "officer down" call.

On lakes here, property owners actually own the ground under the water extending out so far into a lake. They are the only ones who can put in fish cover. They cannot however discourage you from fishing above it.

Depends on my mood that day as to how I would have reacted. Treat me as I would treat others and I might understand your perspective. Yell scream and be offensive and I found a trigger that I might exploit from time to time for my own amusement. Might even take my daughter there to teach an important leason at the owners expense

Ask him( Dock owner) if he likes crappie!! Give him a mess cleaned and in ziplock bags!! He might turn into your best friend or fishing buddy!! My father And I were bass fishing on our home lake!! Had not done very well bass fishing but had caught a good mess of crappie(bass fishing) We were pulling our boat out going home!! This local crappie fishermen(hates bassfishermen)(I was one of them) was taking his boat out!! Did not like each other he had ran us from his boat docks many nights and days!! Thought it was gonig to be a (holly war) never had spoke a kind word to us!! (usually cussing words)(he carried a gun) and (I carried a gun) He was taking his new to him boat out had a new motor on it!! He askied me if I knew how to tell if it was using the proper amount of oil!! Said he had filled it up and had not dropped any!! I went over unplugged the gas line took my pocket knife opened the needle valve and let some gas and oil spill out on the concrete ramp!! The look on his face!! you would have thought he had won the lottery or something!! He started showing me the homemade grubs,tubes,jigheads he made for crappie fishing!! To make a long story short!! We became real good friends!! He is my neighbor on the lake now!! We put out brushpiles, eat,catch crappie!! He started me Crappie fishing!!He is a crappie fishing machine,legend on our home lake!!knows it like the back of his hand!! Thats been 3 years ago!! Being nice to someone opens lots of door's and you never now how it will turn out!!!

The game warden told me to fish away and call him if anything was said outa the way. APC. Owns from full pool out even the rights to his pier. Gonna play it cool and only fish it on occasion outa respect as long as he cooperates.
