Anyway sorry for not really helping, but when I say troll I mean spider rigg'n or slow troll not like the trolling you are doing. I do "tightline" but with the 5-7ft rods.

By the way the rod you would probably need is the B&M ProStaff trolling rod to answer the question about the BGJP being able to do what you need .... I'd say no... those are the rods I said are flimsy.... The Signatures have a little more back bone.
Cabela's has the ugly stik, 7'6" - 9', light action, 2 piece, 1/32-1/4. Now online sale price $27.99. lol

    Default Crappie poles

Shakespeare introduced the new Crappie Hunter rods at the ICAST show back in July. These are 2-piece and come in 9, 10 and 12 foot. The rods are listed on the www.shakespeare-fishing.com web site under Crappie Hunter Rods but distribution to the retailers is just getting started.

i'd stick to the WM for titelinin. i use the 12',14', and 16' in holders. still flatlinin with the more limber B&M's. also like the eagle claw for flatlinin. just my .02.
