Shakespeare Micro Graphite- 7'- lite action-$18 or so at Wally. 2000series spinning reel and 6lb hi vis line and I doubt you will be disappointed. Versatile and affordable.

Skeet - is the micro graphite the grey one?? redear was telling me he picked one up and really liked it. My local WalMart is expanding and they don't carry much till they're finished but I don't like buying anything there. I'll check and see if Cabelas has any when I go this weekend in Michigan when I go for the grand daughters birthday. Course I really don't need another fishing pole!!! LOL

Really don't need another fishing pole! That is like not needing any more jigs! They build those stores off from guys like us that "don't need anymore of something". May you walk out of there having only spent your set limit!!

Doug, without having it in my hand I have to say it's black. Handle comes wrapped in plastic. Best all around rod I own, from pitching jigs to jig and cork to deep jigging. Suck it up and go get one, I bet you'll own more than one before it's done.
