Please Please Please make sure you have a real good vent system on your boat. You may want to even install a electric fan to aid in ventilating. I have witnessed and extinguished many boat fires caused by heaters.

The key to heating a boat or at least you is wind. If there is much if any wind there are no heaters that work real well. I have the coleman black cat, sport cat and mr heater and the only one that does well in a good breeze is the mr heater that screws directly into the 20 lb bottle.

Good luck, stay warm and post some pics of those nightstalking catches.

I've got the Mr Heater and its good for warming your hands and if its not real windy it makes it a little better on your whole self. I found an old coleman catalytic heater at a garage sale that uses camp stove fuel. It is 5000 btu and will not burn paper if it touches it. I actually set this under my boat seat pedestal and it works pretty good. I have even draped an old moving blanket over my legs with it underneath and its like fishin' from the truck. I found some more on ebay in the camping gear. Only drawback is lighting it, kind of a pain. Also in the really bad weather I have a Cabelas Trans Alaska suit, it is unreal how well this thing works.

    A house boat ??:D
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

Hi yall I'am new to this board, everyone on here has a lot of good info. As far as the heaters go we do alot of cold weather fishing on hot water lakes and I use the Colman heater wind does not efect it to much. It great to warm your hands up and knock the chill off
