That Panther is very similar to what I have. One thing I will caution you on is check on how much the unit you chose will offset motor from transom. On mine which is steering wheel control the off set is enough that if trimmed to high the steering loop on motor will kit transom and can break things. Hit a log once and when it popped up loop hit and broke. That was fun trying to sit back there and steer motor in the wind a Wyatts crossing.

One thing I don't like about the new pt35 is there is no trim per se. The motor raises and lowers fast which makes it awkward to trim out on a tiller, especially for a clumsy old man.

The good news is, at least it was in my case, setting the motor back from the transom, I picked up almost 5MPH on the 35 Johnson I had it on. It was a combination of set back and being able to trim it out to ideal setting that added the speed. That was an unexpected bonus. I mainly wanted it so I did not have to run to the back and grunt and staain every time I needed to put the motor up or down. You do that a lot if you fish in flooded timber and swamp waters.
