My soninlaw was spraying some kinda spray sun block and it got on the crickets. Killed about a hundred of em. The next day we bought more and they all died before we got to the lake. Ended up throwing the cage away.

That's what I use except my dermatologist told me to use SPF 85 at least. I can't find the 85 anymore, so I use 100 now.

Also use sun gloves and a buff for my neck and ears.

Been using Banana Boat Sport SPF 30 for years .. and intend to bump it up a notch in the near future, to at least SPF 50 or higher. I don't spend a lot of time fishing in the Sun, preferring the early, late, & overnight hours during the hot months. Nonetheless, I do have a Glacier Glove Universal Sun Shade thingy, that I call my "Lawrence of Arabia" (that fits over my C.c ballcap) ... and the fingerless Glacier Gloves for my hands. I wear the long sleeve UV protection fishing shirts, as well. They all work well & are comfortable to wear. Money well spent IMHO !!

I have a skin condition known as Vitiligo. Basically splotches of skin with no pigment. It will burn in minutes and blister within an hour without sunscreen. I love the gloves and arm coverings. Will be picking some of those up ! Thanks!!

Been wearing the same pair of glacier gloves for 3 years with plenty of washings. Holding up very well. Keep me some sunscreen. Have had to make several trips to have skin cancers and pre cancers removed over last couple of years. Needing to schedule another one soon. Found getting a couple of the screens on my hands will kill a Minner right now.

Me too Cray. Dr told me to not worry too much that the damage was done 60 years ago and is coming to surface. Had one removed from my cheek. They called it a Mohes procedure (I believe). I have had six removed in the last 10 years. I use the stuff for uva and uvb. No smell.

I use Columbia and Buff UV clothing when I'm out fishing. I mostly fish from my kayak so I usually wear some type of sandals which leads me to use the Columbia Freezer Zero Arm Sleeves as socks to keep my feet from the exposure. Also I use a large floppy brim hat. I just don't like greasing up.

Long sleeves and bullfrog SPF 50. As a firefighter by profession I plant sod and landscape as a side job so I'm in the sun all day at least 3 days a week working and you can't beat long sleeve shirts and the bullfrog holds up to all the sweating
