Suppose to reduce the heat by 20 degrees or more and keep you cool under a wide brimmed hat. Will let you know how it works out.
I've got the "gizmo's" from Lowes, the bandanna, the towel and the "gaitor", all three work great and really help keep me cool. I use the bandanna and the neck gaitor with a wide brimmed hat when cutting the yard, have stayed very comfy considering I'm cutting the yard. The towel is my least favorite as it is not as comfy or easy to use as the bandanna/gaitor combo for me anyways. I have not used the gizmos on the water yet.
