1/8 oz with 2'' Umbrella tube is my main jig but 1/4 oz with 2.5'' glow tubes (caps and coleman by southern pro) are quickly becoming my #1. When I use hand ties it is Spanky #129 in 1/8 oz by MEATGETTER.
1/16 - 1/4 only here. Crappie have bigger mouth than some think.

Takeum Jigs
I have 1/32 up to 3/8 oz in my bag...but, I prefer to power fish, especially in the Oklahoma wind. Yesterday (a rare calm day here) I caught a 5" Crappie on a 1/4 oz Gopher Mushroom Jig with a 5" Kalins grub on it. He had almost all of in his mouth. I'll use whatever tactic is necessary but I prefer feeling the thump on big stuff. Usually, tandem 1/8 oz jigs but very often a 1/4 and 1/8 oz with 2.5" or better plastics. When casting I do use a lot of 1/16 oz jigs. The 2.5" Southern Pro C&C glow tubes are a favorite - almost always have one on one of the rods in my hands.

HAVE A CRAPPIE DAY
In S.W. Oklahoma there are few calm days the wind is going to blow. If calm and in winter I like 1/32-1/16 on 4 lb line. Most of the time 1/8 will be fished on 6 or 8 lb line. Tandem rigs can be any combination of the sizes mentioned. I also carry a few 1/4 ounce and sometimes use them if needed.
