Well said Pappy. I look at the TV shows to learn techniques, tips as well as productive colors of jigs. I know for a fact that on one particular show I saw the same fish (Blind in the left eye with a scar from a pike attack on the same side) caught at least four times on four different baits/ lure presentations. It just irks me that people will cheat when money is on the line in a tournament. I fished my last tournament about 40 years ago now. I will be 69 this year and I guess I am an old fuddy duddy to believe that fishermen do not lie, cheat, or steal during tournaments. I even read one article where sinkers were put in the fish stomach to increase the weight.

There always has been "cheating" in tournaments, when money is on the line ... and there likely always will be. Even with all the "media" devices & security measures, and even polygraph tests in some cases ... people are continuously being caught doing the wrong thing.

As to the "TV anglers/pros" using pre-caught fish to fill in their TV show action ... I witnessed that very thing some 40 yrs ago, at the Lake Marion/Moultrie canal in South Carolina. It did little to alter my opinion of the "pro" involved, because I never was a big "fanboy" of his ... or any other TV personality. Those programs were then, and still are now, simply "entertainment" devised to sell a product ... ie: Infomercials. I just take/view them in that context.

I was watching an episode of one of the Crappie fishing shows recently, cant remember if it was Krappie Kings or Crappie Masters but every other word out of the host's mouth was Rockport Rattler. Kinda turned me off of Rockport Rattlers. If you have to try that hard your product probably isnt very good.
