A Golden Crappie.........Wow

CrappyPappy. I believe you are referring to a few posts from someone in Maine that I recall seeing on this forum. Being originally from the northeast I can state that the crappie there are golden in color--and pretty they are, especially the blacks. The white crappie are golden also, but they look somewhat washed out, not a darker gold color like on the blacks.

I don't know, Gansett ... what I remember was a picture of a "gold" colored Crappie, with no black markings of any kind. Even around these parts, Crappie can get a goldish coloration around the white areas of their bodies ... just not a "totally" gold coloration all over.
