Holy crap, wish my first boat was half that nice. At least my 14' piece of junk has black and white sonar. Guess I shouldn't complain as long as my feet stay dry! :+)
congrats ! stay safe .

Keep them poles bent and the boat right side up! LOL
It is great to see people giving things away. Crappie.com is great. Nice rig. I have an 87 tracker tournament v17 with 70 hp merc. A guy offered me more for it then I paid and I turned it down. I like our boat. It does good enough with the minimal electronics on it.
Congratulations! You're going to love the freedom of having a boat. There are a lot of good used units available w/both sonar and GPS and relatively inexpensive. You may have to buy a transducer but they aren't too much. If you don't know how, get it installed by someone who does know.
You do not need all the fancy fishfinders that are out there. Find something that can show you some brush & some drops and you'll find the fish. Watch where others are fishing and catching fish and try to fish the same kind of places.
Do not crowd anyone who is fishing. Let other fishermen know you are learning and would appreciate some advice. Most will give you a tip or two of how to catch some fish. Good luck, you have some good times ahead of you.
