You can't beat free. And it's a pretty nice reel. I bought one last year to stick on a 8ft. Outlaw pole.
I started a thread a few days ago about what spinning reel I should use on a specific rod. The rod is a 7 foot, 6 piece, Eagle Claw Trailmaster. Well, Wally Marshall has sent me a reel to try out on it. The reel is a Lew's Wally Marshall Signature series 100, and it balanced out the rod perfectly. Now I have to go get some 4# test Berkley Trilene XL to line it with. I won the rod in a contest by Eagle Claw on facebook, and now I have this brand new spinning reel to put on it. Thanks Wally, your generosity blows me away. He's a testament to the great people on crappie.com.

In the late 60's my dad and granddad always used Mitchell 300's for spinning reels, in the 70's I used the 300 and 308. About 2 weeks ago I purchased a 310 and a 308 from Gander Mountain. They were on sale at half price, which essentially means buy one get one free. Both came with extra spools. I filled all four spools with the appropriate line for me. Sitting on pins and needles here Western KY waiting spring to arrive.
That sounds like a deal to me. I hear there good reels.
Mitchell still makes pretty nice reels. I'd be looking forward to using on also.
