    With 14 foot rods do you need a the third support in the center or will two be enough

    I don't use the 3rd support.

    Whos racks are you using indianachinker... I tried the driftmaster low profile wouldn't work for me.

    only have 2 14fters ,my rack is a 2 support ezpoleholder

    I tried it with two....it will work, but three is better, I finally got a third one and put in the middle
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    what kind of distance do most of you have between the racks,,,,I'll have a lot rod hanging over the back support, I would think that wind and bounce would wrap the rods around each other.

    Rich I don't have a measurement but going to guess around 8-9 ft. Here is what I do. I use some Velcro straps designed as cable ties for computer cables. I wrap one around the rods about 2 ft back FTP the tip, pulling together but not real tight. Stopped all the bouncing together and tangles.
