    Really tired of these comments/postings.

Josh has decided to not sponsor crappie teams at this time. But Josh is a sponsor of this forum. I really don't understand you're need to do this policing and commenting, moderator or not. Frankly, it's insulting.
This stuff was given to me a as a field tester a year ago when it first came out. I did not like braid and would never have used it, but Josh said it was different so I tried it.
I've been fishing for 40+ years and crappie for 25+ years. I've tried most every line (and product) that has come out. Now I will not use any other line, sponsored or not. You might really like this line if you try it. There's nothing like it.

There is no marketing for a one man operation, the only way you will hear about a great product is from word of mouth from other forum members. This thread was started by a field tester that liked the product and was sharing his experiences.

Only thing it means is that you lose a bit of credibility when someone sponsors you. If it bothers you when people call you out on it, then I would suggest holding off on the sponsor talk. I for one, never look at anything a sponsored guy says with any thought. I actually ignore most of them. I look for regular guys who have no obligations to the company to give reviews. I actually even ignore the posts about companies that sponsor forums as well, unless I know the people doing the posts are regular guys who are being totally honest. If there is money in the equation, you will never get an honest opinion. That's just MY opinion of course. The last person you want to get information from is the person trying to sell you something (or working for the company).

The first thing I noticed is the super slick is a tighter weave and is smoother. I wanted to fish with both so I have a fair comparison. After several trips I can say with out a doubt the PP casts farther/easier than the bonehead, the color stays on the PP better than the bonehead and the PP comes out of the rod easier on the 12' rods. I can't tell any difference in the strength and how well the knots hold in either. Not trying to beat on Josh because he is a great guy to deal with but if anyone has any doubts come by and check out the two lines your self, they are still on the rods.
Thanks for the honest review! Much appreciated!

    Yep, I agree with you!
As I mentioned, Josh is no longer sponsoring crappie teams at this time. The moderator/poster pulled that from an old posting.

    You don’t know me.

Anyone that does know me would say that I’m a man of integrity. I’m happily married, go to church and teach bible study and enjoy crappie fishing as a hobby mostly, but compete in 3 or 4 tournaments per year too, mostly to learn how to be a better crappie fisherman. When I find new techniques or products, I like to share with friends and other crappie enthusiasts. So without knowing me or talking to me, I really don’t get your commenting on another man’s post with the inference that he might be “lying” because he received some product. It’s very disrespectful.
Talk to me or Josh, man to man, or even try the line, and you would sing a different tune. Just sitting behind a keyboard and commenting on another man’s post is allowed and it is of course freedom of speech, but it does not make you a man and it is not appreciated.

Well, we beat that to death. This forum and post should be talking about the line or product.

Guys ... the main intention of this thread is long over with. Let's not destroy that with bickering over one man's opinion over another's.

I've been a field tester for ESP rods & BnM's FnF rods ... and I don't promote them. I do give my honest opinion on them, when asked, and often even state a disclaimer that I received them "free of charge" ... so that viewers will know that. Doesn't mean I'm obligated to promote those products as the best there is. My obligation to the providing companies was fulfilled by giving THEM my honest opinion after using them. What I do or say about them, after that, is left to my discretion ... they are MY rods, now.

MY point is ... don't knock a product until you've tried it, and don't shoot the messenger just because you don't like the message !!

Everyone just follow the unwritten rule of "agree to disagree, with civility" ... and we'll all get along a whole lot better.

The reason I use bone head is because I tried the PP and had a heck of a time with it wrapping on my rod tip. I've been using Bonehead for 3 months now and have yet to have it wrap, even in 30 MPH winds yesterday.

Glad you brought that up, "pappa" ...

I'm curious as to how people are fishing when they experience "tip wrap" with PowerPro.

I've used 10/2 PP for several years without "tip wrap" occurring. I mostly cast 1/16oz - 1/8oz lures with it. When I vertical jig with it, I'm using a 1/16oz jig on the end & a #4 splitshot sinker up the line about 6-8 inches. Even the light peck of a small Crappie feels like a serious thump ... and I'm using a med action IM8 Bass rod (Bionic Blade)

10/2 PowerPro braid is very light & very flimsy ... and the only times I've ever had it wrap the rod tip, is when I was overhead casting with a snap of the wrist. I stopped it from doing that by simply not snapping my wrist, & casting in a more fluid motion. Come to find out that by doing that, I also got more distance in my cast. (no wind knots occurred, either)
