sounds like you spool it wrong or over spool it.
I must be doing something wrong. I order 2 spools got it last week spooled it up and headed the lake first cast got a big mess got the mess fixed let all the line out behind the boat and respooled it two cast later big mess laid that rod down picked the one with PP no problem I have fished braid for a couple of years. In two hours I managed to ruin a spool of brad tangles, knots, loops ect. I will try the other spool this week and report back. I know BH has to be good line from all the good reports. I may have got a bad spool I couldn't keep it tight on the reel

Could be but it shouldn't be wrong after letting it out behind the boat and reeling it back on the spool
Josh, when the 8 lb comes out ,let us know, thanks

Probably true, but IF it's reeled back in with no tension applied to it ... then it "could" come off in a coiled mess.
Chances are he had too much line on the reel, but
I put my 10/2 PP braid on under more finger/thumb pressure than I do mono ... and I've never had it spring off in a birdsnest. When casting light lures with it for any length of time, I will occasionally make a cast away from where I'm fishing & put the finger/thumb pressure on it and reel it back in ... just to get rid of any loose loops/coils that I may have put in the line around the spool, from reeling in a light lure on loose line. When I'm casting and cranking a heavier lure, I seldom have to do that.

Whats going on guys hope you are enjoying this nice weather past few days. Let me know what happens on that second roll. We never have came across this problem yet. Shoot me you address again by pm. I will get you a replacement for the one that messed up. I fill my spools up about 3/4 and not all the way. Thanks Josh
Loose line is a big sign... Did you remember to put a piece of masking tape over the line when you tied it to the spool? IF you don't, you will have BIG problems. ALWAYS tape braid to the spool!
Also, if your drag was set very light, and the spool was spinning while you were filling... But that doesn't seem likely, because with most reels, you would have heard the drag going.

I tied it to mono and drag was set right. I have used PP for 2 plus years so it is not like it is the first braid I ever used . I could have filled the spool a little to full but I filled like I always do. I fish 100 or more days a year after retiring 7 yrs ago. I will try the other spool ASAP. Josh thanks for offering to replace the line but that is not necessary I will give it another try and report back
