Seeker. those will do very well. The visual storage is a good asset. When you get ready to put the long ones on the ceiling give me a holler and I'll give you a few options. Good work.

If you have a HomeDepot anywhere close check them out. They have a lot of classes on how to do a lot of different projects. They get pro's to come in and teach the classes. Like I said before you have the talent for sure.

Crappieseeker if u want to learn more about wood working check for local clubs in your area, they may be connected with a local tool store or lumber yard etc. You could ask at barber shop or post note in church, etc. that's what I did, may be just a group of men get together who like to work & share knowledge of wood working. Also local schools shop teacher may know or be such member.

Got a Home Depot right up the road but every time they have a class I am interested in I always either have to work or something comes up. I do like the online videos but I do better seeing things hands on.

Skeet, my ceiling is too high in my garage and it has lighting that runs down the middle so I would have to have something that hung way down. Those ones in the picture hold my long rods very well. I always break them down anyway and they fit in there just fine. If I ever decide to go overhead though to keep from breaking them down I will holler at ya.

Good enough. The ceiling height can be dealt with. I had a shop full of lots of floor size wood tools and had to sell them when I lost the workspace in a move, wish I had em back. Folks used to ask me what I made, as it was mostly stuff that was in my head my OCD wouldn't leave alone, but I would tell them" mostly sawdust and mistakes". Learning that stuff is just fun but much easier with a mentor. But be careful. If you think this is addictive don't start that stuff, it REALLY hurts the wallet.

It definitely can get addictive. I tried doing a swing for my porch and messed it up twice, so now the pieces are stuck in some cinder blocks waiting to be dropped for cover in the lake lol.

Awesome job. My son had something similar to this built in his garage. It will save you money by helping you stay organized and realizing you already have several packages of something that before was stored away in this box or that drawer. It will let you know when you're running low on something.
At a glance you can find what you are looking for to get to the lake in a hurry. Better yet, the satisfaction you feel in doing it yourself. Looks like you may have two good hobbies going for you.
