    Default Log On?

Log on is no problem, but if I step away from the forum, when I return, I am looged off. Is there an activity timer that looks for non active users and auto logs them off the forum? Just curious. It is a pain sometimes, especially if I am typing a long post (more than 20 words with two fingers).

    Anybody have this problem?

Does me the same way... the best is when you get a really good long winded post and the dang thing says "contact the administrator" errrr... and you have to start over... for some reason the next time the post isn't as long...

I now highlight and copy all my long winded post just in case, and on several occations I have had to use that technique of pasting after I log back in... hope that helps

    Tom/Stumpbumpers:
PM "edhead" about this. I never log off, and this website is my "home page", so I never get "logged off" by any "auto programming or timer". It may be something you have set in your PC, as I don't believe the site has any such "automatic log off" programming.

Also ... Stumpbumpers, when you get this "contact Admin" notation ... does it also tell you that you've used too many smiley's/links ?? There is a limit of how many URL links &/or Smilies you can post per message, in total. The limit is eight (seperate or in combination).

And, yes Tom ... I edited your original message ... we don't really need to know "why" you're gone from the computer :p

Does it just do it here or other sites too? Inactivity timer with your ISP? I'm just guessing.

Just here Bill. I never get (timed) disconnected from my Robotics forums, R/C forums, or my Educator forums.

Tom Turn your cookies back on for the site.
Or you may have to go into your User CP and set it to keep you logged into the site.
