If and when I fish with "Minners"........One time last year with Grandson.......used #2 Litewirehook. Learned a lesson......don't watch his cork!!!!!........Then it's my fault if he missed the fish.

anything 6 or bigger. loose too many with smaller hooks. imo

You must be new here. Read around and you will find that it is not possible to catch crappie on minnows.

BTW, I use a #1 bronze Eagle Claw Aberdeen.

Thanks for the replies guys! Usually there is a whole crew of us out there when we go so I buy a ton of hooks and wanted get the right ones. You know how kids can go through tackle in a hurry, but its certainly worth it.
