I've always had better luck with Marine Metal Products aerators than the Frabill units. Power bubbles is the way to go for 12v applications.

I got one of these for portability. I can't hear it run, but again my hearing is not a good qualifier. It will run several days on 1 D cell. COSTCO has them.

Amazon.com: American Maple Inc 2 Speed Air Pump /Air stone and hose runs on "D" battery #AC-710: Sports & Outdoors

It has 2 operating speeds. Slow and slower.

cane pole, I see that you said you replace the pump that comes on the bucket you like with the Metal 12 pump you originally posted. I notice that pump has two outlets. You use them both and just let both ends go into the bucket somehow? Or you just use one?

I just use one outlet. That is plenty of air for my little bucket. The other outlet is left open to dump air.
