Just understand, going forward, that reels with very small diameter spools, like those of microlite & UL size, are going to set most mono into memory coils ... after having the line on them for a length of time. Occasional re-spooling with new line, or pulling out a length of line = to 2x a normal casts distance & stretching it will remedy that, somewhat.

Keep your filler spools of mono OUT of the Sun & heat. It's not wise to keep your line in your tacklebox, vehicle or boat compartments, or anywhere it's subject to excessive heat or direct sunlight.

Occasionally dragging loose line behind a boat at idle speed for a few minutes, or through the grass in your yard, will generally untwist the line. Occasionally, jigs will spin in the air when being cast, and spin when falling on slack line ... and then you reel the line in, with little to no tension from the very small weight of the jig ... and the twisted line gets put back on the reel spool in loose loops. Eventually, you'll make a cast & a whole wad of tangled line will come off the reel spool ... or a loop of line, from within the lower levels of the line wraps, will twist around the line coming off the top wrap ... and then you'll have to untangle or cut off the mess. Performing the previously mentioned untwisting methods will reduce those aggravating moments (which always seem to come at the most inopportune times).

Never experienced any of that stuff with 4# Nan o fil. Not saying anything against any other line. Just works great for me.

That's because Nanofil is not monofilament .... it's gel spun polyethylene (UNI-filament). That puts it closer to "superline" status (braid), than nylon monofilament line.

Well I use a lot of different mono lines and several brands including Power Pro and lately I have just been trying the new Power Pro Super Slick and I am thinking I like it a lot.

Well here is what I'm trying I respooled with vicious panfish and I went and bought a spray can of real magic so I'll see if I can cast it and not have a bunch of wads coming off

That's why I use it, CP. Cost more initially. Last forever. Cast a jig a country mile. He asked what line was best for casting lite jigs. Not what mono exclusively.
When I got my first Shimano, I spooled it with 5# Power Pro. Terrific line. One problem I refuse to live with is noise. When retrieving PP you can hear each thread in the braid as it comes across the bail roller. Defeated the purpose of buying a super smooth real. Since they don't make PP Super Slick in anything less than 10#, it's nan o fil for me.

Not really. I'm still using the same line on my Shimanos that I spooled up with 3 years. For me, it is cost effective.

Hey understand the noise thing for sure, but this new Power Pro Super Slick has no noise either. Now I have only used it a couple times, but I did just buy some more in 2 colors with both 300 Yd. spools so I can change at least one spool on each spinning reel. Will have to try it on a casting reel as well soon. It may spoil me. So you may want to check it out as I know it's much less than what your using. I can't say a thing about what your using other than cost because I have not tried it yet.

Really I was surprised at the new stuff noise level as it's so much better and now also see they have it in Blue which I may be sorry ofr getting that as I have not tried any blue line before other than the old Clear Blue mono.

    Just a little info,
