Costas are great. Have owned a pair for a couple of years and very durable and I'm rough on glasses but these don't seem to scratch. I have to say though if you want to go in a cheaper direction the duck commander polarized glasses they sell at Walmart are nice and for under 40 bucks. Good visibility and work well in water. My only complaint is they scratch easy.

I have some wrap around style with cheater bifocals to keep from switching back and forth. Wal mart about $20. Light, polarized, and available should I break a pair. On my 4th pair, I drop em and scratch the lens. All the better glasses are good stuff, these just work for me.

I have a couple of pair of sun optics sunglasses. They have a great warranty and run about $50. We went to orange beach last year, I went to a sunglass store to buy my wife a nice pair of sunglasses. Not wanting to spend $200-$300 I asked the sales girl if they had anything nice in the $100 range, she pointed me to the sun optics and raved about how good they were. I was already wearing my sun optics so I went that way for the wife also...$50.

It's laughable, but I use the cheap old Berkley polarized from Walmart. They are only like $5 - $9, which is good since I could scratch a pair of glasses in one outing, even if they were made from diamonds! For the more expensive ones, I loved my cocoons (grey tint polarized around $40-$50 @ Walmart) but ruined them when I dropped them onto some concrete. My Gargoyles (paid $40 for a used pair from a buddy) were probably the most comfortable glasses I've ever worn, and way easy on my eyes. Far from cheap by any means though. I think the pair I had went for around $185 new. Everyone is different, and their eyes are too. I really love the style of Oakleys, but not their price, nor their fit for my fat head unfortunately. Raybans, though ultra cool on style, they are just too dark for me for fishing. Panama Jacks have some nice polarized glasses too, and they are under $30. But I get too much side light with them, and a bit of ear irritation too. Maui Jim's are real sweet, and fit me well, but I don't like their penetration as much as others I've used for how dingy of water I tend to target Crappie in. Now if I were fishing waters like in the Keys, it would be those, or the Costa -bunch's hands down! =) Sight is such an important element when angling. I wish you the best in your search! <,"}//>{ Tim

Does anyone have a good suggestion on good glasses that are made for a wider/bigger head? It's tough having a big noggin.

look at costa del mar, they have frames sized for large and extra large noggins. and this is just a suggestion but go with the copper 580G lenses. copper is for sight fishing and allows great view of whats below the surface and the glass lenses are the clearest on the market and don't scratch like plastic. I love my costas and they are backed by lifetime warranty. www.costadelmar.com

Ditto. Costa Swordfish and Oakley Monster Dogs are my 2. You just can't beat a good pair of sunglasses.

I had the same problem. I ended up buying the costa del mar man o war frames with the 580 glass lens in green mirror and the frame fits my big head really well. I'm sure there are other more affordable options out there but in my opinion you can't to wrong with the costas.

I went out today to a store that carries the Costa, and tried several on, glad I went to the store , they had a bunch of different kinds, was able to actually try them on, and see which ones fit good, man, they are some nice glasses that feel like your not wearing any, very comfortable and nice feeling. I narrowed it down to 3 pair, now to have to decide what I want, I do like the copper lens, and I am going to get the glass lenses in the style I want.
I can not wait to get them.
