Sorry to hear about your problem. I don't have anything like that, but at 65 I have fell a few time the last couple years and man that ground and also concrete sure has got harder, LOL! Don't blame you a bit, I would probably do exactly what your doing as falling is not good!
Good luck with the new boat when you get it. You may want to consider putting some of the noodles materials around the rails to give some padding?
HATE TO HEAR OF YOU CONDITION . THINK MOST OF THE PEOPLE ASKING ABOUT PROBLEMS WERE THINKING IT WAS A FALT IN THE BOAT . WAR EAGLE HAS A PRETTY GOOD NAME IN THE SOUTH AND A PROBLEM WITH THEM MAKES PEOPLE CURIOUS . HOPE YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR YOU .
Just a thought, if you like the stability of a wide flat surfaced boat but do not like log pontoons, you may want to consider a V hull aluminum deck boat. I remember seeing some over the years here and there and they looked very stable. Another option would be bomber style stick steer, everything is on one level you operate everything from the front seat. My father-in law and lots of other older gentlemen in this area used these rigs. The most popular brand was a Quachita, I know they aren't made any more but you can always find one and rig it like you want!

Cool boat Tom! You can slay crappie and storm the beaches in that boat.
Cane Pole, Sorry to hear about your condition, I really like that toon rig, it looks like a very stable set-up
I would go with bomber controls with you condition and a seat belt just in case, at those speeds you could be ejected off of it then run over buy it if you hit an underwater object
again great looking rig, good luck with your choice sir
I love the looks of Blackhawks rig also
I am 66 and have hearing problems, never though about the different area hearing loss will effect. I have a alumncraft with stick steering, it is not for everyone but once on the water I don't have to get out of my seat. It is called a panfish boat, the live well is behind my seat and only have to turn around to put fish in it. It does not have a deck like most bass type boats, seats are in the bottom of boat. I can fall out but the way it is set up I feel good about not falling out. Lots of luck
