Put the pole behind you, holding a section in each hand close to where it joins, squat low enuff that your wrist are about your knees and using your legs for leverage pull it apart
Hi,
I have a 12' B n M pole that I am, sometimes, having trouble separating the two pieces. Am I just putting too much pressure on the two pieces, when assembling them, or is there a trick that I need to know? Should I put a little oil on the male portion of the ferrule to prevent future problems
Thanks for the advice.
Charlie

Next time you get them apart, take the male end and rub it in the crease alongside your nose. The oils there will keep them from binding. This always worked with the old metal ferrules and has helped me with some of the newer ones. Sounds kind of odd but it does work.

Glad to know I'm not the only person in the world that could not get those poles apart. I had my husband, everybody trying to figure it out without breaking.

Spray some wd-40on the joint and let it sit for a min. should come apart, wipe excess lub.

I've used both, wd40 and hot water. Applying some pre-lube, be it facial oils or wd40 sounds good.
