put the pole behind you, holding a section in each hand close to where it joins, squat low enuff that your wrist are about your knees and using your legs for leverage pull it apart

Actually it is the natural oils from your skin. Without it we would all look like alligators.

They make a wax for that also. I think any kind of wax would work. Keeps the rod sections together, but when you pull with force they come apart.

No I didn't. You have oil on your nose. Unless you've been changing the oil and gotten grease on your nose, which I had nothing to do with.
