WoW nice! Gotta love Toledo Bend. Do you ever fish the Chicken Coop? It's amazing around this time.
Thanks, No Doubt Sandwich Maker, I had a ball each time out even though I would have loved to fish more days this last week. So far I only had one female so the males just came in last weekend as far as I know. No spawning yet, think just looking for their places to make the beds. Who knows when they will actually start. However my neighbor said he some some guys casting right up to the back and reeling out and doing pretty good too. We long lined the whole time, both of us.
Last Sunday was probably one of my best days in 4 years with the drought and loss of Hydrilla was a killer. Plus with my boat stranded for over 1 1/2 years in it's sling didn't help much, LOL!

Luck has nothing to do with it, it's how you wiggle your worm.
The funny thing is I have fished this lake since it opened and never been to the Chicken Coop, LOL! I know they catch a ton of crappie up there, but there are also a ton of boats when it's hot. If I can get these in Feb like this I can pass on the Coop in Jan. Have always heard about it though, but it's a pretty long ways from me as I fish about the bottom 15 miles of the lake.
Wow that is some good fishing there.
Great Skip.

Wow great catch. Them will be some good eating
Excellent Work!
Nice catch!
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---DONT EVERYBODY ? Thumbs Up
They are excellent eating as we had a little fresh this weekend and for some reason it was the best fish I have had in a long time. Guess we used a well seasoned cornmeal type package of fish fry and I cooked them the right length of time all so make them really good!
