Sickle Hooks

I prefer sickles too. I have completely gotten away from the Aberdeen style other than a few old road runner heads but I have been converted to the sickle runners. Them things are so sharp they will stick you looking at them.

Like to use them tied on with a loop knot. Find most of fish will be hooked in the Roof.
The hook gap is a bit wide and a smaller barb, just have to keep a tight line when,
Fish On!!!

I use sickle most of the time. i tried the litewire hooks they were great in the brush but had the hooks to straighten with some bigger fish after a couple loss stopped using and went back to the sickle hooks. Cub48

You might want to lighten your drag, use a lighter rod, and/or less drag. I have landed 10 pound plus stripers and cats on these hooks.
