Nice post CP
We have all been through this trauma (selling your boat). It is like losing a family member. I got it showroom new, and it has been parked over the years at my boatdock. It is a strange feeling to look toward the water and not see my pontoon sitting and waiting on me to come down for a ride. I feel and empty void, but the new boat will win my heart sooner or later. The pontoon has served me well over the years, never failing to take me out and bring me back safely and with out failure. I guess I got a "little Yankee" in me, as it is a LOWE..haha
I am sure that the new owners (Mike and Jill from North Carolina) will take care of it and it will serve them well too.
Pics are leaving the water from my boatdock, getting a little cleaning, and heading out to North Carolina.
Goodbye my friend! I will miss you.

Not to derail the topic, but check your differential oil now that you've dunked it.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with those sort of thoughts
Sitting here contemplating selling my boat, thinking that if you added up
all the fish that have come over the sides in the last 9 years, a dump truck
wouldn't haul 'em... :D always been there for me, never stranded me - can't
say the same for the one I had before it. Thinking about how it was in it
I first got hooked on Crappie fishing, about my kid's first fishing trips in it.
At least I'll have the pictures and memories. Hope the next one is half the
pal it's been.

Thanks for your concern Matt. This Toyota can run under water..I can get a snorkel kit for it at the local 4x4 shop. yep!!!!!Originally Posted by Matt Smith
Toyota, made in America (that is if you consider California part of America).haha
Actually made in Fremont, Ca. by General Motors and Toyota. Yep, built in a GM plant along with the Pontiac Vibe....FYI...

Cheer up Tom - the two happiest days in a man's boat owning experience are "supposed" to be the day he buys a new boat and the day he sells it.
Glad you took some pictures for the memories.
Not a problem. I've had water over the grill on my Tacoma for brief periods, but before I did anything like that, I put an extension on my rear differential breather. The front come with a breather mounted on the motor. I don't know why Toyota doesn't do the same with the rear.Originally Posted by Cane Pole

All he's saying is if the vent line to the diff leaked, then you have water in your diff...I assume they made the vent lines better or replaced the factory with something stronger...But then again maybe not...Some shops will do anything to save a buck.
