Tiger, what do you have between the rod holders and the PVC on that thing?

Those are part of the rod holders. I bought the cheap ones at academy that are made to clamp to the side of a boat. I just threw away the piece that is used to clamp them to the boat.

Darn, I got the ones with the stakes from academy that don't have that thing.

I wanted to give everyone, who responded to my post, an update on my search for a rod holder that did not require drilling holes in my boat. I purchased a mount from Extreme Fishing that attaches to the rear cleat of my boat but I wanted to use Hi-Tek rod holders instead of their Troll Master rod holders. I worked with Scott at Hi-Tek and he modified one of his brackets to allow it to attach to the Extreme base. The setup is sturdy and fishes well. I was not able to do the same configuration on the front racks because the front cleat is too far behind the front seat so I bought an extension, that attaches to my front seat pedestal from Bee Ready and attached one of the Hi-Tek bases to the extension. While not as sturdy as the rear set up it also fishes well. All three of these companies were very to work with and went out of their way to help accommodate my needs.

If you want to see pictures of my end result look under my post "A huge thank you to Scott Echols at Hi-Tek".

If anyone has any questions just let me know.
