I fish whenever my schedule allows, regardless of lunar phase or barometer.

My grandpa always said "Wind from the east, the fish bite the least, wind from the north, few fisherman go forth. Wind from the south, the bait goes in their mouth, wind from the west, the fish bite the best."

Those words still always seem to hold true.

While on the road to the lake, I'll look at the cows. If they are feeding, fish are biting. If they are laying down, fish are not feeding.
Almanac never worked according to my working schedule. I finally realized if your fishing, your chances are much better than when
    your not fishing.

If ya don't go, ya can't catch em, and that's for sure. Seems like sometimes they hit the bite times and other times they miss. So I just go when I can.

Cane Pole, I am not sure the Mayan Calender was wrong. The world as we know is over as long as our Goverment situation goes unchanged. As far as lunar tables go, I am sure the moon has some effect but I tend to lean more with the Barometric pressure.

Ok I have discovered the correct method! You can't catch them from the couch so the best time is any time you can get out and go.

All other factors being equal there may be something to it; there definitely is when fishing ocean tides. Of course all other factors generally aren't equal and freshwater does not tide like ocean water does either. I fish as much as I can work in, when I have time available and I feel like doing it. Pretty certain that dry hooks don't catch fish no matter what the moon is doing.

The Mayans did not predict the end of the world. They took the calendar until it started over again. Our calendar starts over every year, theres is just a tad bit longer.

I plan all my campouts/fishin trips for full moon weekends. Not cause of the fishing, cuase of the view over the lake under a full moon.

I believe in following the lunar table and the barometric pressure for fishing and hunting, but it does not dictate when I go. I fish and hunt whenever I get the chance. Sometimes you catch them good and others not. I don't believe you can truly nail them down to set pattern no matter what variables you consider. There's just two many variables in the equation....
