    I use a 120 Quart (30 gallon) cooler that I purchased from Wal-Mart for 39.99 :

and use a fish saver 30 gallon aerator from BPS I got for 21.00 to keep gizzard shad alive for catfishing. I have no problems keeping 15 to 20 shad alive for hours even in hot (90+ degree) conditions. If it will keep shad alive it will keep anything alive.

All the 12V aerators are very minimal amp draw so you can use a single deep cycle battery and run it for days without issue. Make sure you are using water from the body the fish came from. If you use tap water you will need to use shad saver or keepalive solutions to remove the ammonia from the water.

    RANGER 690

After reading your post, I went to Walmart and looked for the livewell pump. I saw a 500 GPH and a 750 GPH, which both seem a little big. Can you tell me the size pump you are using?

    Thanks

Mine is a 500. Wish I had the 750, but the 500 works okay.

i like ranger690 setup . the pump in the water will heat the water up . planning on converting my cooler like that . don`t need a high volum pump . i would put a longer pipe on the returne pipe and drill holes in it like a soaker hose . that will do better than high volum .

In the hotter months you may have to change the water a couple of times if you fish all day but that isn't a problem. I don't regret buying mine and I'm sure you would be satisfied with it.

Power Bubbles work great for me too. Drop them in the minnow bucket and minnows are lively all day. Works so well I got one for the livewell too.

I tried one of the floating areators, heated the water up too much, lost the fish. Maybe I let it run to long?

    Default Need some help.

I know yall all posted yours but I was wondering which one does not heat up the water at all. How do yall connect them, because i dont think they stay in your boat 24/7. I need to be able to take mine in and out. I like rangers idea. Ill do that if it doesnt heat the water up at all and doesnt take to much battery power. Thanks
