I first stumbled into the technique long before I knew about CDC. boat in 16fow and casting toward a weedline just off the bank. Was looking for greenfish and probably would have loaded the boat, but the Crappie had other ideas. The power drive on as slow as it would go, I worked my way along a couple of hundred yards and was busy the whole way. Been fooling with it in different fashions ever since. When trolling cranks way behind the boat, drop a jigging spoon on a snap swivel down close to the boat. Change the tiny treble for a #4 and add to the fun.
