Maybe you could get the lowe with a bigger motor and get a small kicker motor for the local lakes.

Put a kicker mount on it Saluki. I have a Tracker Tournament V-18 with a 90hp on it. I had a kicker mount added to it and put a 10 horse that's carburated up to a 15 and use it on anything that won't allow a 90. It doesn't push the boat real fast but I get where I'm going and it keeps me from just trolling the bigger hp restricted lakes like Sanchris. I had to add a 3 gallon portable fuel tank under the back deck because the 10hp needs the fuel pre mixed but that was not a problem.

guys I would be careful about using advice from kenny. Most of his fishing takes place in the bath tub with plastic fish and an occasional video game. On the rare occasion that he does get to really go fishing, I hear his good buddy Tricky Rickys' wife usually catches most of the fish. Then there is the occasional fishing trip with his dad, October, (who we call Toby) and his brother Ramblin Robert. He can usually keep up with these two because Toby perfers golf and Robert prefers to talk constantly.

Actually Kenny is a good guy, avid fisherman. I work with him and want to see how long it takes him to figure out who I am.

    Default 2006 Lowe 175

Went to a dealer in Springfield, IL Fri. and went with the 50hp 4-stroke and picked out my color scheme. They are rigging it up this week and I will pick it up this Sat. Its my first new boat!

Glad I read this thread. I was looking at this boat also and was just going to get a 9.9 on it. The lake I mostly fish is a 10 hp limit. I guess if I'm going to get this rig I will need to get a bigger motor and a kicker. Just wondering but does Lowe or any other builder give a discount if you buy direct from them? Can you go to their "plant" and purchase a boat from there? The trip to Missouri would be about 7 hours for me but it might be worth it if the "discount" is worth it. Thanks guys.
